Description
Updating QtCreator from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 using MaintenanceTool.app fails with the following message:
Error during installation process (qt.tools.qtcreator):
Error while extracting 'installer://qt.tools.qtcreator/3.2.2-0qt-creator-opensource-mac-cocoa.7z': not enough memory
I freed memory by closing lots of applications. Activity monitor shows > 2GB of unused memory. Clicking 'retry' always shows the same error.
Clicking 'Ignore' finishes the installation without further error. This results in a non-working Qt Creator.app (error: 'The application “Qt Creator.app” can’t be opened. -10810').
Due to QTIFW-547 I now have to uninstall all of Qt and reinstall.
As mentioned in QTIFW-548 the affected version of the Installer Framework/MaintenanceTool is unclear to me.
