    Description

      User Story

As a user, access to INTEGRITY or QNX is not easy. Costs and setup times are factors. I would like to check out QSR on my Linux desktop (or Intel NUC). I would like QSR to run in its own process writing to it's own graphics layer.

      Business Benefits

      1. Makes for easier demo systems that include the QSR functionality. This is especially the case for Automotive Suite and the Neptune demo UI.
      2. Easier for customers to get QSR up and running and get comfortable with it.

      Caveats

There's cost benefit. How feasible is this. Can desktop Linux access hardware layers? Does what is described here provide a universal API? https://lwn.net/Articles/653071/
