The QContactManagerEngine::requestDestroyed() documentation says
"Notifies the manager engine that the given request req has been destroyed"

But I doubt slightly that you are really sending a pointer to a deleted instance (an invalid pointer). If the pointer should indeed never be dereferenced then that should be stated explicity. Otherwise people may assum that it's only about to be deleted.
