QContactManager.contacts method fails when invoked with a QContactUnionFilter of more than 24 elements and causes phonebook and gallery instability

I'm using a QContactUnionFilter to retrieve contact details from the phonebook using phone number as search criteria. If the filter contains more than 24 QContactDetailFilter, the fetch returns an empty array. Moreover, the native phonebook application and gallery application don't work properly.
