window.ononline and window.onoffline events are not working

Deploy the attached html page in a web server. On your testing machine, make sure that network is available and launch the MiniBrowser and load the page. The network status
label is shown as "online intially".

STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM AND OUTCOME:
1. Now remove the network cable from your computer.
Actual result: No change in the network status label
Expected result: The network status label should be changed to "offline
after firing the event".

2. Now connect the network again.
Actual result: No change in the network status label
Expected result: The network status label should be changed to "online
after firing the event".

Note 1: This test passes when using Wired network connection icon in Ubuntu Machine's title bar. (right click in icon and select Enable networing option)
Note 2: This test passed on iPhone4, Firefox 3.6.17 and Chrome 13.0.782.41
