      Summary

This API is to provide enablers for the third parties to provide accessories such as sports, health and well-being equipment with 1%-50% of the energy consumption of regular Bluetooth. Bluetooth Low Energy is a recent enhancement in Bluetooth spec v4.0. There are two types of implementation, dual-mode and single-mode. In a dual-mode implementation, Bluetooth low energy functionality is integrated into an existing Classic Bluetooth controller. The resulting architecture shares much of Classic Bluetooth's existing radio and functionality resulting in a minimal cost increase compared to Classic Bluetooth.
