Windows 10 Enterprise v2004 OS build 19041.508, 64-bit, MSVC 2017 and MSVC 2019 installed.
Existing Qt installation with Qt 5.10.1 and 5.15.2 installed for Windows.
Description
MaintenanceTool fails to install Qt 6.1.1 for MSVC 2019 (64-bit), popping up a dialog indicating:
Error during installation process (qt.qt6.611.win64_msvc2019_64)
The C:\Qt\InstallationLog.txt file has entries that I believe corresponds to this event as follows:
[606034] Operation \"CreateShortcut\" with arguments \"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\cmd.exe; Qt/6.1.1/MSVC 2019 (64-bit)/Qt 6.1.1 (MSVC 2019 64-bit).lnk; /A /Q /K C:\\Qt\\6.1.1\\msvc2019_64\\bin\\qtenv2.bat\" failed: [606034] installationErrorWithCancel : Installer Error : Error during installation process (qt.qt6.611.win64_msvc2019_64): Retry|Ignore|Cancel [1002881] perform qt.qt6.611.win64_msvc2019_64 operation: CreateShortcut [1002881] - arguments: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe, Qt/6.1.1/MSVC 2019 (64-bit)/Qt 6.1.1 (MSVC 2019 64-bit).lnk, /A /Q /K C:\Qt\6.1.1\msvc2019_64\bin\qtenv2.bat [1002883] Done
Cancelling the install does seem to uninstall everything properly upon high level visual inspection (no 6.1.1 directory exists under C:\Qt), but if you repeat the installation, you get the same failure. I have no way to install Qt 6.1.1 through the Maintenance Tool.
Also affects Qt 6.1.2 and 6.0.4 installation.
