On Windows, using Qt Creator 2.7.0, I am unable to run my executable.

In the Project Run settings, the (greyed out) executable name is correct, but without .exe at the end. In previous versions of Qt Creator the .exe was added.

It fails to run (stating "Failed to start program. Path or permissions wrong?"), maybe because I also have a directory with the same name as the executable.

Edit I re-opened this issue because since Qt Creator 4.7.0 the exact same issue occurs again. No .exe is added to the executable, and the executable fails to run. I guess the issue is the same: I have a folder with the same name as the executable (minus the .exe).
