When doing rename for local variable it is not possible to use select operation for part of the variable name and then delete it or just overwrite selected part.

It is useful operation when user wants to replace or remove the bigger part of the text (for example the whole variable name or from cursor to end of the name).

I marked this as bug, but it's some might see this as feature request...
