Description
Recreate steps:
- Install latest Android NDK (r21) to a writeable area.
- Install Android Studio including latest SDK(r29) to a writeable area.
- Install latest Qt 5.14.1 Open Source, containing QtCreator 4.11.1.
- Launch QtCreator.
- Navigate to QtCreator -> Preferences -> Devices -> Android.
- Fill out paths for Android SDK and NDK.
QtCreator displays errors (see attachment). QtCreator is unable to auto-create kits, and therefore it is not easy (or even possible?) to target Android in this situation.
Problem also occurs in 5.12.7 LTS version on Mac.
The QtCreator Android SDK parsing needs to be tweaked to reinstate a reasonably easy and reliable workflow for targeting Android via Mac. If that can't or won't be done, documentation for Qt for Android needs a major overhaul to describe a reliable workflow on Mac. Not able to target Android for the time being.
