Interface blocks while compliation is being stopped

When an ongoing compilation is being stopped (by pressing the red square button in the Compile Output tab) the main editor interface is blocked. The cursor cannot be moved with mouse or keyboard, the editor does not respond to keypresses or attempts to switch to other documents.

Stopping the compilation can take considerable amount of time, especially with parallel compilation, so this problem is quite annoying. I did not encounter this behavior with QtCreator 3.6.1.
