Description
- Make sure you have no CMake binary in your PATH variable.
- Start Creator with empty settings, e.g. by passing the parameter -settingspath <empty directory>
- Go to "Tools" -> "Options..." -> "Build & Run" -> "CMake".
- Click "Add".
- Click "Apply".
- Go to "Kits" tab.
Creator shows a warning icon for the default kit. - Hover the default kit with the mouse.
In the tooltip you can read that the "CMake Tool is unconfigured". Oh right, we forgot to specify the binary. - Go to "CMake" tab.
- Select the "New CMake".
- Give the path to a CMake binary.
- Click "Apply".
- Go to "Kits" tab.
Creator shows a stop icon for the default kit. - Hover the default kit with the mouse.
In the tooltip you can read that the "CMake Tool does not support the configured generator". - Select the default kit.
- Try to select a different CMake generator.
You can't. The combo box contains only "<Use Default Generator>" - Click "OK".
- Go to "Tools" -> "Options..." -> "Build & Run" -> "Kits".
- Select the default kit.
You can now select a different CMake generator.
It should always be possible to select a matching CMake generator.
