Drag-and-Drop element into canvas causes qml designer crash

when dragging a tool button into the toolbar (or the splitview) qt creator crashes. If I drop the button outside of any existing elements it does not crash. As soon as the "dragged" button enters either the toolbar or the splitview the program crashes. This happens even before I "let go" of the button.
