Add "simplified" CVS status - indications of which files are edited and/or need update

It would be nice to have a simpler form of the CVS "Status of Project ..." - which would give a simple(r) overview of the files that need update from the repository or that have been updated locally. The output of "cvs -n update" might be sufficient for a start - although the data could of course be parsed and/or reformatted in various ways.
