QLineEdit password mode - Portrait keyboard shows extra charaters (asteriks) when not pressed.

Tested on Nokia N97, Qt 4.6.2, S60 5th edition sdk

In QLineEdit with password mode on, extra characters appear in portrait mode native text editor.

Reproduce:
1. Open text editor from QLineEdit with password mode on
2. Press number 2 button three times.

Expected:

• 'c' character appears shortly then changes to an asterix

Actual:

• An extra asterix appears first then a 'c' is seen shortly before changing to an asterix. So for the single 'c' character, 2 asterix are now seen.
