macOS: Cannot create window when screen is in sleep state (no screens)

If laptop monitor is in sleep state and application starts it crashes with following message:

"Cannot create window: no screens available"

Attached example can be used to see the crash on terminal if started like this:

sleep 10 && ./screentest
