Description
I am aware that QtXML is out of active development and is considered finished. This is probably the reason why the documentation of the module contains the following text:
The module is not actively maintained anymore. Please use the QXmlStreamReader and QXmlStreamWriter classes in Qt Core instead.
Stream based readers/writers are NO replacement for a DOM based component . The use cases are totally different! In many applications it is practically impossible to replace QDomDocument by the recommended classes. The same is true for legacy code.
That sentence should be updated since it frustrates and confuses users that try to follow the undifferentiated recommendation.
