Predictive text disappears from text edit field on losing focus

We've noticed that in QML text disappears from text entry fields with the following order of actions:
1. Enter a text entry field.
2. Write a word with prediction on.
3. Do not finish prediction, i.e. leave cursor on the newly entered word, so that the new word is still underlined.
4. Leave the text entry field.
5. Result: the text entry field clears itself.
