QML Menu Accelerators don't get displayed correctly with styling

When using styling as suggested at:
https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtquickcontrols2-customize.html#customizing-menu
Accelerators don’t get painted correctly because instead of underlining the character, it shows the & symbol.

In Qt 5.15.13 they seem to trigger the shortcut regardless they are not displayed with underline but in Qt 6.4 they don't work at all due to https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-96630

Please find the example attached.
Build and run the example and click the red rectangle to open the menu and see that accelerated character are not underlined
