    Description

As part of the embedded performance analysis epic, a subtask is to have our first iteration of a performance benchmarking application. This ticket tracks that work.

The need is to offer a solution for partners so that they can try out embedded performance on their various new and old boards as well as various new and old demo applications. The related ticket for documenting embedded performance guidelines is to go with this performance application.

Additionally partnering has a requirement to be able to have data on demos in terms of processing capability and memory consumption somewhat similar to what MCU is having. The MCU environment is however quite different from MPU side as the OS takes much more memory than the app already for instance so we could provide figures relevant to MPU that the benchmarking app provides.

As per various discussions the target is to have this functionality:
      -adjustable UI elements :
      --vertical list with (1-N items)
--a meter animation with update frequency (eg. speed meter)
--a delegate for list items (1-N items)
--several own demo app for 3D
      – user can select one 3D model from a list of models with different amount of polygons/vertices/etc.

-to see the update frequencyn for video playback with different codecs, resolutions etc. with touch
      -memory consumption
