Custom Extension example not working on NVIDIA

When running the QML example, it shows a black screen and complains "qt.qpa.wayland: Could not create EGL surface (EGL error 0x321c)". The cpp-example works mostly, but clicking the button to toggle window decorations doesn't seem to do anything.
