    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    • macOS

    Description

On one specific case on the Mac, after waking the computer from sleep, the one of the toolbars disappears and window title on a tiled window is clipped.

      To reproduce:

      • Set up a Mac with two monitors where the second monitor is a higher resolution than the primary monitor preferably 4K monitor.
      • Build and run the attached application (mditest) on a Mac with Qt 5.15.9. This is just a lightly modified version of the Qt mdi example that creates a "tab toolbar" on the left edge of the main window (see MainWindow::createTabToolBar()).
      • You should see a toolbar with a tab named "Tab 1" in the upper left part of the main window.
      • Drag the application to the second monitor.
      • Click the Full screen green button to make the app full screen.
      • Click the "new document" toolbar icon to open a document in a view window.
      • Put the computer to sleep using the "Sleep" system menu item.
      • Wait until the computer is fully asleep (wait 15 seconds).
      • Wake the computer. Wait for the second monitor to wake up.
      • If the app is not showing, click the icon for the mdi app in the dock bar to show it.
Notice the tab along the left edge has disappeared, and the document title for the view is clipped.
If above step does not reproduces
Then just run the application drag it on second screen and do full screen.
after that plug out second screen cable and after a while plug it in.
you may have to click application icon from taskbar to show it on second screen. Once it is shown on second screen Tab is disappeared.
