macOS: Viewer app doesn't play back animations correctly

Open dyn_key.uip on macOS, choose any slide and press the green play button to launch the viewer. The viewer launches on the secondary screen (with presentation scaled to bottom left corner) and it plays back the ping pong animation in following manner:

• The ball moves from left to right
• It pauses there for ~3 seconds
• It then moves back to left, then to right
• It again pauses

This pausing and ping-pong animation is the only one shown no matter what slide is selected in the editor.
