Background color/transparency doesn't work with sub-presentations

I have a single layer presentation with a rotating cube on it. The layer background is set to transparent. The size of the presentation is 400x400px.

I want to use this presentation as a sub-presentation on a layer in another presentation. The size of the main presentation is 800x600 px. On this presentation I have a layer sized 800x400px (aligned to bottom) and with background color set to green.

I set the sub-presentation as sub-presentation for this layer and run the application.

In the viewer the sub-presentation is centered in the layer (as it should be) but the background color of the sub-presentation is black. Also the color on the sides of the sub-presentation goes black.

It seems like the background color value of the layer in the main-presentation is omitted. It might also be that transparency of the sub-presentation doesn't work but it is difficult to say when there is no background color in the main presentation layer.

Sub-presentations as a image element

In another case when I use the same sub-presentation as a diffuse map image element on an basic object the background color of the layer is correct but the background transparency of the sub-presentation doesn't work, instead it shows black.
