Data inputs are not available for selection in subpresentation

Create a presentation, add a couple of data inputs. Create another presentation, copy the uip file under the original presentation and add it as sub presentation to original presentation. Now add a text element to subpresentation. The data inputs are not available for selection for text element in the subpresentation, nor are they listed in data inputs dialog, either.
