Create or update example to show how to replace two layouts with one layout with states

If there is no need to have two layouts, then create example that demonstrates how the two layouts can be replaced with one, for example the telltales example.

How the icons can be small or large, active (colored) or inactive (grey), visible or not visible, and how animations can be used
