Research and implement render thread support in the timeline

For the properties x,y, opacity, scale, and rotation the timeline has to support render thread animation. For those properties, this should be the default, but the user should have the option to animate those in the UI thread if required.

This has implications on the API and of course on the implementation.
It also requires support in the timeline UI.
