Live preview often doesn't work on more complex projects

I'm unable to run the QML live preview on more complex projects (Outrun Cluster, Stellantis PoC). This makes development a lot more difficult and slow as I'm unable to see the changes I'm doing in real-time, and instead, I have to rebuild the app to see how the changes affected the scene.

It seems like in both cases the live preview stopped working when we brought in an application with keyboard controls.
