It is not unusual to have a common set of user files/components that are referenced across a number of projects.  Prior to QDS 2.3, this could be handled by using custom project/file wizards (https://doc.qt.io/qtcreator/creator-project-wizards.html) in order to create the specific template files with references (e.g. custom component import paths).

In QDS 2.3, the custom project wizard functionality seems to have disappeared, and only a graphic-designer-oriented GUI is provided with fixed/limited templates.
