When opening a project with QDS, there are no requirements for the used QDS. There should be minimum version what QDS is required to open this project and if the installed version is less - there should be a dialog saying that a) it cannot be opened b) user should upgrade the QDS version.

The minimumQtDesignStudioVersion (or alike) data should be written to qmlproject when it is created or saved by the author.

Right now you can experience weird situations like:
