      Example repo state: 

      * ad7eb4a (HEAD -> aseems-qtgitlab) Fetch remote updates first

      At this point, if we try to do `git pull -v qt_origin aseems:aseems-qtgitlab` this fails because it's a non-fast-forward situation.
