It has come to my attention that it is possible to install incompatible versions of QtCreator when using the maintenance tool.

For example if a user is working on a 32Bit system, then uses the update feature in the maintenance tool, it will still update QtCreator to the most recent version, which is a 64Bit version and will therefor be in-compatible. 

I think it would be quite useful to has some type of check in place to prevent users from accidentally upgrading to an in-compatible version of QtCreator.
