ReferenceError to tableView in PdfMultiPageView.qml

      qrc:/qt-project.org/imports/QtQuick/Pdf/PdfMultiPageView.qml:467: ReferenceError: tableView is not defined

      I don't understand scoping: attempting to scope the reference to the ID (root.tableView) also does not work. I'm referring to an object which is defined directly under root, by its ID. Seems like that ought to work.
