What is the benefit? Why is this valuable?
As a customer, I want to call Java functionality (Android OS or a 3rd party library) from a Qt application in an easy and reliable way.
As a Qt platform developer, I want to avoid manually generating glue code to access Java Android functionality.

      What are common use cases?
Access Android functionality which Qt doesn't have wrappers for. For example, most Android managers (PowerManager, TelephonyManager, UsbManager,...) are not exposed to Qt/C++.
